Our Story

Schone started in 1963 with a father and son installing windows in Montreal’s Greek community. Over decades, that small business grew into 17 showrooms and multiple manufacturing divisions across North America.

After selling the company, Yianni returned to the industry—this time importing high-end windows from Europe. The designs were beautiful, but the logistics were broken. Delays, miscommunication, and products that didn’t fit North American standards.

So in 2020, he partnered with his cousin John to build something better.

They launched Schone in Northern Greece—a hub for advanced window manufacturing—and re-engineered the entire system for the U.S. and Canadian market.

Today, Schone operates a 30,000 sq ft facility serving clients across North America, Europe, and the Caribbean.

ABOUT US

Redefining European Windows for the North American Standard

Built for North America

European windows are beautiful—but they weren’t built for North American conditions. So we re-engineered everything. From frame sizing and hardware compatibility to thermal performance and installation workflows, every Schone system is designed to meet U.S. and Canadian standards without compromise.

By manufacturing in Northern Greece—Europe’s leading hub for window production—we tap into a dense network of expert labor and trusted suppliers. That gives us tight control, clear communication, and a major edge on cost-efficiency.

No delays. No surprises. Just systems that fit, function, and outperform.

TESTED & CERTIFIED

Some certifications apply to systems from our extruder used in our assemblies.

Sustainable & Safe

Our factory sits in the Pieria mountain range of Northern Greece—an area rich in natural beauty and craftsmanship. We take that responsibility seriously.

Most of our materials are sourced locally to reduce transport emissions and support a regional supply chain. Our aluminum is fully recyclable, and our production processes are designed to minimize waste, water use, and energy consumption.

All finishes are applied using environmentally responsible methods, including:
    •    Chrome-free chemical pre-treatment
    •    TGIC-free powders
    •    Solvent-free systems
    •    High powder reuse efficiency
    •    Full compliance with European eco standards

Sustainability is built into everything we do.
